The Troops are Going But Will We Support the Enemy?
Democrats are proposing a non-binding resolution in the Senate that criticizes the commitment of these additional troops. In fact some have even proposed that we not fund these troops.

Rep. McKinney Introduces Bill to Impeach Bush
Patterico's Pontifications blog has done some stellar detective work on a particular L.A. Times story wherein the Times claims that U.S. forces attacked a town with an aerial strike that killed 30 Iraqis, including women and children.
The Times also reported that widespread destruction resulted from this reported "bombardment".
A Times correspondent in Ramadi said at least 15 homes were pulverized by aerial bombardment and families could be seen digging through the ruins with shovels and bare hands.Gruesome, eh?
Problem is, the big story that the Times reported upon doesn't seem to have ever happened.
As Patterico so ably demonstrates there was no "U.S. airstrike", no buildings were destroyed (perhaps damage to one, though), and, worse, no women OR children were killed.
Is a Bush-Pelosi amnesty ahead?

Commentary: The Democrats' Military Disdain
Sen. John Kerry may have just sabotaged his party's highest hopes for the 2006 midterm elections, writes columnist Michelle Malkin. Karl Rove himself couldn't have engineered a better campaign reminder of the Democrats' utter lack of credibility when it comes to supporting, respecting and leading America's military. House Intel Chair suspends staff member (AP) (10/20) - The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee has suspended a Democratic staff member pending an investigation into whether he leaked a high-level intelligence assessment to the news media.
Jobless claims fell 10,000 last week (Reuters) (10/20) - The number of U.S. workers lining up for jobless benefits unexpectedly fell by 10,000 last week, the government said on Thursday in a report showing a solid labor market.
U.S. consumer prices drop (Reuters) (10/19) - Cheaper energy helped pull overall U.S. consumer prices down steeply in September and new-home building unexpectedly rebounded, implying a still-resilient economy.
Democrats would reverse Bush's work (Washington Times) (10/19) - The Democrats' election-year agenda, which says what they will do if the voters put them back in charge of Congress, would seek to overturn or change just about everything President Bush and the Republicans have done since 2001. Key parts of their agenda call for repealing tax cuts and limiting some of the investigative, prosecutorial and surveillance methods in the counterterrorism USA Patriot Act.
The Democrats claim they want to treat terrorism as a criminal law problem, but when we give them an American citizen convicted of aiding terrorists — as happened this week — a Democrat judge gives her a slap on the wrist. Or he was going to give her a wrist slap until someone told him that wrist-slapping was banned under the Geneva Conventions, so he let the wrist off with a warning.

Is this why Dems alway push for min. wage increases during a Repub administration?
Are videotaped beheading covered by Geneva? Sen. John McCain has been carrying so much water for his friends in the mainstream media that he now has to state for the record to Republican audiences: "I hold no brief for al-Qaida." Well, that's a relief.

The U.S Constitution established a republic, not a democracy.
The word democracy does not appear in the document.
There’s a story told that when Benjamin Franklin was leaving the Constitutional Convention after the signing, he was asked “What type of government have you given us, Mr. Franklin?” He replied, “A republic, if you can keep it.”
Another part of the limitation on government power most politicians forget, or ignore, involves the discussion of “rights.” It’s amusing for Libertarians to listen to the arguments of conservatives or liberals defending this or that right and watch as they vainly “look” for those rights in the Constitution.
They can’t find them because - they are not there. Politicians take great pains to convince you that your “rights” are granted by their beneficence.
In 1794, as a member of Congress, James Madison voted against an appropriation of $15,000 for French refugees. “I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents,” he said.
This government was created by "We the people," for US. We have let previous generations of lawmakers whittle our rights away, while placing themselves above the laws they create.
The governments powers and obligations are laid out in the Constitution of the United States and the Decleration of Independence.
Isn't it time we took OUR government back?

Ted Kennedy's closets are chock full of hypocrisy Ted and the Kennedy clan have protected their assets from estate taxes – as Kennedy fights to keep this tax on other Americans! Kennedy also has fought an environmental program near his Cape Cod home
Noam Chomsky opposes the very concept of private property and calls the Pentagon “the worst institution in human history,” yet he and his wife have made millions of dollars in contract work for the Department of Defense and own two luxurious homes.
Liberalism in the end forces its adherents to become hypocrites. They adopt one pose in public, but when it comes to what matters most in their own lives-their property, their privacy, and their children-they jettison their liberal principles and embrace conservative ones.

Once again, here's a dramatic picture of our press, embedded with the enemy as usual.
Notice, however, how many "innocent civilians" this man is surrounding himself with, while firing at Israeli troops.
The Israelis, of course, will not fire back, as the likelihood of them hitting any number of people behind this coward is too high. Our cowardly photojournalist, of course, reports the official terrorist line:—11 "unarmed" Palestinians were injured.
Bush slams court threat to terrorist wiretaps
President Bush yesterday said the courts are threatening his wiretapping program against terrorists and called on Congress to pass a law to put the program on sounder footing, but one hour later Senate Democrats blocked an effort to do just that.
